Experience rural life as it was during a simpler time and learn about Long Island’s agricultural heritage on an authentic 18th-century North Fork family farm. Hallockville Museum Farm is a 501c3 nonprofit organization comprised of a 28-acre preserved farm homestead in Riverhead, NY. Hallockville is dedicated to bringing visitors back to Long Island’s family farming roots and interpreting their relevance today. Comprised of 19 historic buildings including the original Hallock Homestead (listed on the National Register of Historic Places), Hallockville is open to the public and free to visit seven days a week from dawn to dusk. Visitors may walk the grounds, say hello to our farm animals, and use their smartphones to take a professionally narrated Sustainability Tour. Guided tours of the barn and homestead are available on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for a modest fee.
Each year, Hallockville hosts hugely popular seasonal events that attract visitors from Orient Point to Manhattan. Our 2023 event line-up features the following:
