The temperate maritime climate of the East End, fragile estuaries, air salinity, and ample sunshine work harmoniously to create the terroir of Long Island’s microclimates. Clovis Point Vineyard and Winery’s uniqueness lies in the delicate microclimate of its specific location. Clovis Point’s modest eight acres are flat and near the Peconic Bay. Southward-reaching vine orientation allows warm, salty breezes to provide an extended ripening period, resulting in wines that are complex and expressive.
