We’ve partnered with The Cornell Corporative Grape Extension Program and sourced grapes from The Cornell Research Vineyard in Riverhead to create five unique, small-batch vintages exclusively reserved for attendees of this event. Be the first to try 2022 Chronicle Wines Arneis, Petit Manseng, Fluertai, Soreli, and Albariño!
During this conversation, you’ll hear about the winemaking process with Chronicle Wines co-founder and winemaker Robin Epperson Mc-Carthy and The Cornell Cooperative’s Viticulturist and Educator Alice Wise. You’ll also have the chance to taste these five experimental wines, enjoy a light menu, and nerd out with fellow wine geeks in the comfort of our tasting room lounge.

About The Cornell Grape Extension Program
The Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County Grape Program conducts applied research and coordinates educational opportunities for the Long Island wine industry. Through meetings, newsletters, consultations, and electronic media, we communicate research results, facilitate the flow of information from Cornell University and keep growers abreast of current and upcoming technology. We help winegrowers sustain their business from both economic and environmental perspectives.
About Some of The Varietals
Arneis (“little rascal”) is an Italian blending white wine grape from Piemont. Historically, the cultivation declined due to low yields and finicky vines, but new research and study of the grape have helped revive the varietal! This wine is truly one of a kind—an uncommon, Italian varietal reflecting The North Fork’s maritime terroir.
Petit-Manseng (“little manseng”) is a white wine grape that hails from southwest France in Basque Country. It is classically used as a varietal in dessert white wines but rarely bottled as a monovarietal…until now. We’re thrilled for you to be the first to try our small batch of 100% Petit-Manseng before it hits the shelves.
Albariño: A refreshing white from the Iberina Peninsula treasured for its freshness, rich stone fruit flavors, and zippy acidity. Some of the oldest vines in the world are Albarino grapes!
We will also explore the lesser-known Soreli and Fluertai varietals!
