"Welcome To New York, It's Been Waiting For You." East End Producers Earn Top Scores in Wine Advocate New York Review

Jul. 01, 2016| LIWC

“Welcome to New York. It’s been waiting for you.”

In his June 30th Wine Advocate article, Mark Squires states “If you like whites and cool climate reds, who can deny that New York is doing a great job of proving how fine winemaking has become in the East in the last generation? You have no more excuses. No more snobbery, no more stereotypes. That is no longer allowed.”

Our producers are leading the way with a new set of outstanding scores!

Wölffer Estate Vineyard’s White Horse Red 2013 collection received top rankings with a 94+ awarded to the 2013 Christian’s Cuvee Merlot, described as a “potential superstar.”  93’s were awarded to the 2013 “Coeur Cheval,” the 2013 Cabernet Franc “Caya,” and the 2013 Fatalis Fatum.  A 92 was awarded to the 2013 Pinot Noir “Landius,” a 91 to the 2013 Merlot Lambardo and a 90 to the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon “Cassango.”
