New Year, New Exciting Reviews From Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate

Jan. 08, 2016| LIWC

Long Island earned another round of exciting reviews from Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate.

90 points was awarded to Anthony Nappa’s 2013 Riesling Elswein “Leonardo” as well as 2013 Sannino Bella Vita’s 2013 Merlot, “a lovely Merlot with fine structure and reasonable depth.” Sparkling Pointe’s 2006 Brute Seduction earned 90 points as well.

Waters Crest received 90 points for the 2007 and 2013 Crest CR, the 2006 Night Watch and the 2007 and 2010 Bookends. The “Bookends”, a collaboration with Roanoke Vineyards, was applauded as “elegant and well constructed.” Mark Squires notes that “it is showing exceptionally well just now and should continue to do so for most of the next decade or so. This graceful, but slightly intense Bookends red is a perfect food wine with a tasty conclusion.”
